“I came to Jo's Pilates class after suffering from chronic back pain for a number of years which culminated with a disc injury. I was, at first, quite sceptical about the transformative effect of Pilates as I had practised yoga for a long time and I loved the stretching meditative power of my practice. Jo's detailed knowledge of anatomy and body awareness, of how poor posture and lack of core strength impacts on the stresses and strains we inflict on our bodies helped me understand the causes of my back pain.
At the end of Jo's Pilates class I take away with me a heightened awareness of my posture and how to use my core strength which stays with me from one week to the next.
